As in the rest of the country, Turin is a city where people get robbed easily, in several different places. This article wants to be a small practical guide to tourists who do not want to spend their time in the police station but to enjoy their trip or vacation.

First of all, always keep an eye on your bag or purse: robbers can be so great not to let you figure out they are stealing something. In particular, whenever you walk into a very crowded street or you catch a tram or bus where there are so many people, never take your eyes off your bag.

It is very well known tram number 4 is the worst one, since immigrants and not EU citizens are so good in opening bags and taking wallets and or cell phones.

Monday night in Turin is TANDEM aperitivo time!

The academic year has begun last Monday, and Turin looks like totally different: so many students walk in the street to go to class, to buy books, to find an accommodation, to try to understand how university life is.

On Mondays there is the TANDEM aperitivo at the Zero bar located in Via Vanchiglia at the corner with  Piazza Vittorio, where you can enjoy the happy hour talking different languages (mostly English, actually) to the Erasmus people. It is called “tandem” because it should be an occasion where both you and your new friend can practice a different language (English in your case, Italian for the foreigner), and you can really have fun there. From 7 pm you can have access to the buffet (literally, you can really eat as much as you want) and drink one drink just for 5€.
