Where students go to eat in Turin

A very famous place where students go for lunch is the M** Bun slow fast food. The word in Piedmontese means “it’s good” and it referres to the delicious hamburgers you can order every day from 11.30 am to 11 pm (on Monday it opens at 12 pm).

They are all tasty and usually students ask for the “Chiel” (“Him”) filled with toma cheese first, and end with the succulent “Gaute mac da suta” (“Go away from down there”), a burger which is stuffed with onions and bacon. There you can find a new fresh kind of hambuger for every season, according to the ingredients available during that particular period of time.

One of the greatest things is that at M** Bun they really care about customers, that’s why it is also available the hamburger with gluten free bread for those who are Coeliacs. That means everybody can eat there, without worrying about what they can or can’t order, according to their health.

Another thing to keep in mind is that all the burgers are made of 160 gr. of top quality meat which is strictly original from the region: it is produced in Piedmont and it is not imported from other cities or countries, as happens for other restaurants. The result is a product which is always fresh and delicious.

The quick “Ciapa Lì” (“There you go”) service is based on the idea of saving time, in order to avoid the long queue you can find in all the other fast food where sometimes you have to wait for your turn for 15-20 minutes. That can be a problem, expecially for students, since their timetable is all scheduled according to their classes and/or trains to catch to go back home. That’s also why the central position of the place, located both near Piazza Castello where people can catch the buses to go to the center and the train station called “Porta Susa”.
